The iPhone 4 is one of the biggest hits by
Apple and it brought out a new trend of glass wrapped phones, both from the front and back. It defined class in its time and was a simply beautiful phone for a long time, being reasonably compact and small. The display is a LED-backlit IPS LCD of 960*640 resolution and a size of 3.5 inches.
Internal Specifications and Operating System
The phone uses Apple’s latest A4 chipset utilising a Single Core ARM v8 based processor clocked at 1GHz and a quad-core graphics processor. Storage has multiple non-expandable options of is limited to 32GB in this model and has 512MB RAM. The phone has multiple sensors like Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and barometer. The phone is powered by a 1420 mAh battery. The latest software available on the iPhone is iOS 7.1.1
Camera
The camera is 5MP with autofocus coupled with single LED flash.The camera can record 480p at 30fps. Other features include geo-tagging, , touch focus, face/smile detection and HDR (photo/panorama). The front camera is of VGA resolution which can record videos at 480p.
Connectivity The iPhone 4 has quad band GSM, 3G/HSDPA, Wifi, A-GPS , Bluetooth v2.0 . It has a iCloud service for data backup over the cloud.
Final Words
The iPhone 4 is a great compact phone available at a heavy discount from Apple in the market and can be picked up for cheap, which isn’t really a common thing with Apple and those in need of a compact smartphone with great app support can pick it up without any doubt. A phone is not measured by the sum of its parts and this phone proves it rightly so.
Despite it being an aging phone, it manages to run smooth overall.
