Blackberry Z10 is the
2013 flagship released by Blackberry to take on the heavyweights in the premium
business smartphone segment. The phone uses high quality materials and is
solidly built. It is quite light at 137gms. The display 4.2” of 768p resolution
(1280*768p) translating to a popping 355ppi which is more than the iPhones in
the market.
Internal Specifications and Operating
System
The Blackberry Z10 is powered by a Dual
Core Snapdragon Krait processor clocked at 1.5 Ghz coupled with an Adreno 225
GPU and has 2GB ram which should be enough to keep things ticking at a brisk
space. The Z10 houses a host of sensors including an accelerometer, gyro,
proximity sensor and a compass. It has a 16GB flash memory expandable via a

The Z10 belongs to the latest Blackberry 10 OS family which is an
intuitive take on the old blackberry OS-es and is optimised for touch. It
will be upgradeable to v10.1 via a future over the air update.
Camera
The camera unit on the Z10 doesn’t
disappoint on the Z10 unlike previous BB smartphones, Blackberry have housed a
8MP unit with autofocus and LED flash on the rear capable of Full HD video
recording at 30fps and a front camera of 2MP resolution that can record videos
at 720p.The camera has features like face detection and HDR which is good to
have on any smartphone.
Connectivity
The Z10 can be used anywhere in the
world with support for quad-band GSM and dual band 3G. It supports CDMA, HSDPA,
LTE as well. It has Wifi, Bluetooth v4.0. A great feature the device has is a
HDMI port for playing your content to a HDMI enabled display or device.
Final Words
Blackberry Z10 is a great attempt by Blackberry to put the company back on the
map and the Z10 is a good comeback from Blackberry. Considering the price it is
available in India at present, it is a steal and great premium phone available
at not a premium price point which is greatly accepted by consumers on any
given day.
