Display and Build:
The Nexus 6 is an
upcoming phone from Google in their Nexus lineup and a successor to the Nexus
5. The phone is expected to have True-HD IPS+ display measuring 5.2” or 5.9”
(Reports not yet confirmed) diagonally and a resolution of 2560*1440 which will
raise the ppi to 500+ vs the Nexus 5
Internal Specifications and Operating
System
The phone is powered by one of
Qualcomm’s latest processors, the Snapdragon 805 clocked at 2.7GHz and has a
massive 3GB RAM which may make it the fastest phone out there. The phone will
have a non-expandable 32GB model. The phone will be
powered by a large 3000mah battery. In the sensors department an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass are expected.
The phone is expected to have the latest Android L at launch.
Camera
The 13MP autofocus camera is assisted by a Dual-LED flash and OIS. It is
capable of 1080p and 4k video capture at 30fps. The front camera is 2MP with
1080p video capture ability at 30fps.
Connectivity
The Nexus 6 has quad band GSM and
3G/HSDPA. It has Wifi, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth v4.0 and FM Radio. The phone
also has support for TV out and USB OTG and USB Host. It also supports wireless
charging.
Final Words
The Nexus 6 from Motorola might be the fastest phone in terms of specs at
launch and will have one of the best displays ever seen on a mobile device. The
phone is a must buy for Android enthusiasts and it expected to get at least 2
years of updates considering the repertoire or past Nexus devices.
