Display and Build:
The HTC DESIRE C is a no frills Android device with very basic specs at an extremely low price point. The phone features a plastic finish and the display is a 3.5” unit with a resolution of 320*480. The device looks quite good and is very compact and easy to use for small hands.
Internal Specifications and Operating System
The specs of the HTC Desire C is underwhelming with a 600 MHz Cortex-A5 Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon processor but gets the job done for what it’s worth with its 512MB RAM. The phone has a 4GB flash storage expandable via an SD slot up to 32GB. It is powered by an ample 1230 mah battery to keep the size as small as possible.
The phone runs Google’s 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS without any upgrades to future OS versions.
Camera
The phone has a basic camera of 5MP resolution of fixed focus nature, the camera doesn’t have flash and is not accompanied by a LED flash. There is no secondary camera for video calling.
Connectivity
The phone has Quad band GSM, GPRS, EDGE, Dual band 3G with HSPA, FM, Bluetooth, microUSB for charging and USB connections.
Final Words
The HTC Desire C is a dated device and is aging, it is a well built phone at a low price point targeted at customers new to Android but it is hardly the best phone to purchase at this point of time considering Kitkat and even Lollipop phones can be purchased for the price of this device.
