The Micromax Canvas 2
is one of Micromax’s phones from the Canvas lineup. The design is similar to
the S series of Samsung smartphones. The phone looks very youthful and sleek.
The phone up front has a IPS panel that measures 5” diagonally and a 480p (854*480p)
display.
Internal Specifications and Operating
System
The Canvas 2 has a Mediatek MT6577
Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor. The phone has 512MB RAM for all your
multitasking needs. The phone has a 2000mah battery which should be
sufficient to last the day and has 4GB storage expandable via a microSD slot
upto 32GB.
The Micromax Canvas 2 has Android Ice Cream Sandwich v4.0.4 as its OS
which is upgradeable to v4.1.1 Jellybean.
Camera
The Micromax Canvas 2 has a 8MP camera
for your photography needs and can record HD videos. It has a LED flash for low
light conditions and indoors. A front VGA camera is present for video calling.
Connectivity
The Canvas 2 has Quad band GSM, GPRS,
EDGE, Dual band 3G with HSPA, dual SIM support with dual standby, GPS, FM,
Bluetooth v3.0, microUSB for charging and USB connections.
Final Words
The Canvas 2 is a great phone from Micromax banking on the previous Canvas’
success and carrying forward Micromax’s legacy of bringing affordable phones to
users without compromising on quality. The Canvas 2 has great performance and
suffers from no lag thanks to Android’s Project Butter implemented with the OTA
update to Jellybean.
