The Micromax A311 Canvas Nitro is the new Micromax kid on the block and the phone is decent in size with a 5” HD (1280*720) IPS LCD Display which significantly sharp at almost 300ppi. The build quality has gotten better for Micromax as time has passed and this phone is quite solidly built. The display has an oleophobic coating for protection.
Internal Specifications and Operating System
The phone runs an Octa-core 1.7 GHz Mediatek processor and 2GB RAM which is quite good when you compare to a phone that is so much more expensive like the HTC Desire 816G. The sensors included are an accelerometer, proximity sensor and compass. The storage capacity of the phone is 16GB which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The phone is powered by a 2500mah battery which is quite large and should be able to handle heavy usage.
The phone runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and an update to Lollipop is likely.

The Micromax A311 Canvas Nitro has a 13MP autofocus camera with LED flash capable of FullHD video recording and a front facing 5MP camera for your selfies. The camera has features like geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection.

The Micromax A311 Canvas Nitro has support for quad-band GSM and dual band 3G. It supports CDMA, HSDPA. It has Wifi, Bluetooth v4.0. which as connectivity options. The phone supports dual sim with dual standby.

The Micromax A311 Canvas Nitro is a very powerful Micromax phone and is a good alternative to the new Desire phablets from HTC which are significantly more expensive and it does very well for its price and is a strong contender in the mid range segment.
