Nokia X: Nokia’s First Android
Display and Build:
The display of the
Nokia X is of WVGA (800*480) resolution with a pixel density of 187 ppi. The
panel is a 4” IPS display. Viewing
angles are decent and brightness is good in sunlight. The build quality is very nice and feels
solid.
Internal Specifications and Operating
System
The
internals of the X are loaded with a 1GHz dual-core Cortex-A5 processor with
512MB RAM which does well in terms of performance overall.
In the sensors department a proximity sensor and accelerometer are housed.
The phone has 4GB internal storage expandable via a micro SD slot. The phone
has a 1500 mah battery.
The Nokia X utilises the Nokia X software platform 1.0.1, based on the
Android Open Source Project (4.1 Jelly Bean as the base version). Some other
software features include Nokia HERE
maps with free lifetime voice-guided navigation and offline maps support,
Data-efficient Nokia Xpress browser, Nokia MixRadio, Nokia Glance screen and

Nokia X PlusCamera
The Nokia XL has a 3.15MP autofocus
camera with no flash and can record 480p at 30fps. A front camera and flash are
not present.
Connectivity
The Nokia X has Quad band GSM, GPRS,
EDGE, Dual band 3G with HSPA, optional dual SIM support with dual standby, A-GPS,
GLONASS, FM, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB for charging and USB connections.
Final Words
The phone is a great combination of Nokia and Android however future phones
such as this won’t be available as the Nokia X line is being dropped so getting
it now is a great idea. The phone is value for money and a good choice for
those looking for a large phone from a reputed brand.
