The Note I was a
massive hit and Samsung brought out the Note II which is a great upgrade from
the original Note and improves on the hardware in a great way. The S Pen stylus
is back at the back of the device and the design is sleeker than before. The
phone houses a 5.5” 720p (1280x720) Super AMOLED panel which is very vibrant
and offers great color and saturation.
Internal Specifications and Operating
System
The Samsung Galaxy Note has a quad
core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9 Exynos processor. The phone has 2GB RAM with 16/32/64GB
storage and can be expanded via a SD card to 64GB. The device is powered by a
gigantic 3100 mah battery. The phone is loaded with sensors - Accelerometer,
gyro, proximity, compass and barometer are seen.
The phone
runs Android OS v4.1.1 Jellybean and an upgrade to 4.4.2 KitKat has been
rolled out.
Camera
The camera is a 8MP unit with LED flash
with features like Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video and image recording,
geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR. It can record Full HD videos.
The front snapper is 1.9MP which can record 1080p at 30fps as well.
Connectivity
The Samsung Note II has a host of
connectivity options. The phone supports quad-band GSM, 3G/HSDPA, Wifi,
Bluetooth v4.0, GLONASS, GPS, A-GPS. The phone also supports USB on the go and
USB host.
