285. This is one of the first successful phablets made and offers an S Pen
stylus behind the phone.
Internal Specifications and Operating
System
The Note N7000 uses an Exynos dual-core
processor utilising the A9 architecture. The phone has 1GB RAM with 16/32 storage
and can be expanded via a SD card to 64GB. The device is powered by a 2500 mah battery. The phone is loaded with
sensors - Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer are present.
The phone
runs 2.3.6 Gingerbread and can be upgraded to 4.1.2 JellyBean. The Android OS
is custom skinned by Samsung with their Touchwiz UI.
Camera
The camera is a 8MP unit with LED flash
with features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection. It
can record Full HD videos at 30fps. The front snapper is 2MP which can record in
HD as well and can be used for video calls.
Connectivity
The Note has a host of connectivity
options. The phone supports quad-band GSM, 3G/HSDPA, Wifi, Bluetooth v3.0, GPS,
A-GPS, GLONASS, and TV out. The phone also supports USB on the go and USB host.
Final Words
The Galaxy Note is single-handedly responsible for the success of the phablet
market and catered to the needs of users demanding large displays and better
battery life. The phone is great and has a great display which is well
saturated and produces deep blacks.
