Mini houses a 4.5” 720p (1280x720) Super AMOLED panel which is very vibrant. The
phones is solidly built and is protected from dust and water. The front of the
phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. A fingerprint sensor is located on the
home button.

System
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini has a quad
core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A7 Exynos processor. The phone has 1.5GB RAM with 16GB
storage and can be expanded via a SD card to 64GB. The device is powered by a
2100 mah battery. The phone is loaded with sensors - Accelerometer, gyro,
proximity, compass, barometer, gesture, heart rate sensors are seen.
The phone runs Android OS v4.4.2 Kitkat and an upgrade is expected to
Android L considering it is a mini flagship device.
Camera
Samsung has done a great job with a
camera with a plethora of features added in. The camera is a 8MP unit with LED
flash with features like Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video and image
recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR. It can record
Full HD videos. The front snapper is 2MP which can record 1080p at 30fps as
well.
Connectivity
The Samsung S5 has a host of
connectivity options. The phone supports quad-band GSM, 3G/HSDPA, Wifi, Bluetooth
v4.0, Beidou, GPS, A-GPS. The phone also supports USB on the go and USB host.
Final Words
The S5 mini offers most of the S5’s software at a lower price and has various
unique features that you won’t find on phones of other brands, it is fashionable
and available in a variety of colours and has a great Super AMOLED display.
