The Z1 is a budget dual sim phone from Samsung and introduces us to their own Tizen OS on a budget. The phone is very compact and looks different from Samsung’s older generation phones. The phone up front has a TFT PLS capacitive panel for better viewing angles that measures 4.0” diagonally and has a 480p (800*480p) display.
Internal Specifications and Operating System
The phone has a Spreadtrum SC7727S Dual Core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor with 768MB RAM. The phone has a 1500mah battery which is enough for a phone of this size has 4GB storage expandable via a microSD slot upto 64GB. The sensors department consists of an accelerometer for motion based apps and games.
The phone runs Samsung’s home brewed Tizen OS, v2.3.
Camera
The Z1 has a 3.15MP camera for your photography needs that can record 480p videos @ 30fps and has a LED flash. It has a VGA camera video calls and self shots.

Final Words
The Samsung Z1 introduces us to Samsung’s brand new OS and a fresh alternative to Android, though the OS has not yet matured it feels silky smooth and the UI is great. The looks and build of the device are compelling and battery life is quite great. It is a budget offering and not a lot has to be invested to see the capabilities of Tizen OS.
