Omnibalance design is a beauty to hold and the beautiful TFT display of 1080p
(1920*1080) resolution and 441 ppi is great to look at which is powered by the
BRAVIA engine 2.
Internal Specifications and Operating
System
The phone is powered by Qualcomm APQ8064 clocked at 15GHz quad core
processor and has 2GB RAM. The phone has 16GB internal memory and a microSD slot
supporting cards up to 64GB. The phone is
powered by a 2330mah battery. In the sensors department an accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass are present.
The Xperia Z was launched with 4.4.2 and has been updated to 4.4.4 and
Sony has their own software customisations like Album, Walkman, Stamina Mode
etc.
Camera
The camera is of 13MP resolution for photo capture with autofocus and a LED flash.
The phone is capable of 1080p video capture @ 30fps and the front camera is a
2.2MP unit capable of 1080p video capture.
Connectivity
The Z has quad band GSM and 3G/HSDPA. It
has Wifi, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth v4.0 and FM Radio. The phone also has support
for TV out and USB OTG and USB Host.
Final Words
The Z is a very premium smartphone with a glass front and back and one of the
first 1080p phones. The OmniBalance design is fantastic and the phone is very
comfortable to use. The phone has amazing performance and a great camera as
well.
