The Xperia Z2 is
Sony’s best fare wrapped in shatter proof glass and framed metal from all
sides, protected from dust and water, the phone with it’s Omnibalance design is
a beauty to hold and the beautiful IPS display of 1080p (1920*1080) resolution
is great to look at which is powered by a X-Reality Engine and uses Triluminos
technology. The display has an insanely high ppi of 424.
Internal Specifications and Operating
System
The phone is powered by one of
Qualcomm’s latest processors, the Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.3GHz and has a
massive 3GB RAM which is more than sufficient. The phone has 16GB internal
memory and a microSD slot supporting cards upto 128GB. The phone is powered by a large 3200mah battery. In the
sensors department an accelerometer, gyro, proximity,
compass and barometer are seen.
The successor to the popular Xperia Z1 is powered by Android v4.4.2
upgradeable to 4.4.4 and has it’s own software customisations like Album,
Walkman, Stamina Mode etc.
Camera
The camera remains unchanged from the Xperia Z1 with software additions and enhanced
capabilities in the video recording department. The camera has a large sensor
with 20.7MP resolution photo capture with autofocus and a LED flash. The phone
is capable of 4k video capture and the front camera is a 2.2MP unit capable of
1080p video capture.
Connectivity
The Z2 has quad band GSM and 3G/HSDPA.
It has Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0 and FM Radio. The phone also has support for
TV out and USB OTG and USB Host.
